I tried the same thing with my panning image..My dogs were sure tired by the time I gave up though. Haha Kind of a plus. I love the picture of the little girl being thrown. She is to die for adorable!
Oh my goodness, both shots are gorgeous, but that second shot with that sweet baby frozen in the air. Ack, I just want to munch on those sweet cheeks! :)
Thanks so much, everyone. They were a lot of fun. The little girl was just adopted and they love her so very much. What an incredible honor it was to take her first professional pictures.
I love the feeling of fall and the colors that you have here!
One of my favorite things about action shots--that you don't always get with simple portraits, is the feeling of energy and excitement that is infused into the images. BOTH of these images definitely have this!
Both images have such fantastic composition! No cut-offs, good balance, no distractions, and great feeling of excitement!
Good job!
As for the panning image... they take some practice! Sometimes its easier to practice on subjects that are moving smoothly. For example, a bike rider stays on the same horizontal plane, while a dog or a person bounces up and down a bit in the horizontal plane, thus making it a little more challenging to get a good pan (its possible, just takes more practice.)
Michelle: Ohh my goodness I love your photos. The first photo with the leaves reminded me of a photo I took last year of my kids playing in the leaves. Thanks for reminding me of that great memory. Second photo is just priceless. So amazing.

ReplyDeleteThe little flying girl is a darling shot with her looking at the camera and him looking up at her.
